Meet Patrick Washington

Patrick discovered his life's calling on DC's legendary U street circuit alongside notables such as Gayle Danley, Ta Nehisi Coates & Jason Reynolds, earning what he lovingly calls his Unofficial MFA from the U Street School of Hard Knocks. As one part of the dynamic hip-hop/poetry trio the POEM-CEES, his work over the last 20 years has touched every type of heart imaginable, from children to world leaders. From subway platforms to network television.
