Please join us on Saturday, August 3rd for an insightful discussion with celebrated artist Maurice James Jr. of his current exhibition “The New Negro/Manifest Destiny”.

“Propounded during the second half of the nineteenth century post slavery, the concept of Manifest Destiny held that it was the divinely ordained right of the Negro to build their own free nation in America and protect it “by any means necessary”.
